This Privacy Policy describes how IgniteCoders (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and safeguards personal data through the Ourika mobile application (package name: com.ignite.tripplanner) and this website. Ourika is designed to help travelers collaborate and reach consensus on travel dates, budget ranges, and destinations before booking.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the data strictly necessary to provide collaborative trip-planning features:
- Account and authentication information: Email address and authentication tokens managed securely through Supabase Auth.
- Travel preference inputs: Available travel dates or date windows, personal minimum and maximum budget thresholds, and prioritized destination wishlists.
- Group trip metadata: Trip name, shareable invite code/QR code, and active participant IDs.
- Limited technical diagnostics: Standard error logs and device crash diagnostics necessary to maintain system reliability. We do not track continuous background geolocation.
3. Purpose and Scope (Not a Booking Agency)
Ourika is strictly a group decision-making tool. We are not an online travel agency or booking platform. We do not sell flights, book hotel reservations, or process payments for travel accommodations. Users use Ourika to agree on trip parameters and then book independently through their preferred providers.
4. Backend Infrastructure & Storage (Supabase)
Our backend services and database are hosted on Supabase. All network communications between the mobile app, this website, and the backend are encrypted in transit using standard TLS/HTTPS. We enforce Row Level Security (RLS) policies ensuring participants can only view trips they were explicitly invited to join.
5. User Rights & Account Deletion (Google Play Compliance)
In compliance with global data protection laws and Google Play developer policies, users have the right to request the complete deletion of their account and associated personal data at any time. You can submit this request without having to log in or keep the app installed via our dedicated public account deletion request page.
